my challenge

lately... as in the past week, since emmit was born, i am overwhelmed with a challenge... dividing my attention.

it seems that lately every time i talk to brooke it's more like yelling, or telling her she can't do something, giving her trouble. she's not a bad little girl by any means, but i think most of my challenge is trying to make her understand that she can't have all the attention, but now has to share it with her little brother. adam and i are trying so hard, we are now understanding no matter what we do, this is a big change not only in our lives, but little brooke's as well, and changes like these take time.

although brooke is being a pain in the butt, she's still my little girl, i love her, and always will. she's an excellent big sister already... i can tell. well until emmit can defend himself, and then the fight might be on. i keep her involved as much as i can when emmit is awake. she loves to hold him, while were holding her. lol. and she loves to pet his head, and give him kisses. like i said, she's an excellent big sister already.

i still feel guilty sometimes because i can't spend all my time with brooke, i just have to remember, things like this, changes like these... take time, and patience. :)
